National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 180 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices.

National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAMI provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. They have databases of support groups for people with mental illness and their families, online support groups and affiliates for in-person support groups countrywide, and legal department works to change laws regarding mental health.
